5 Top Things to Do at Home During COVID-19 Isolation & Social Distancing:
(Scroll down for English Version /
先看時尚高潮YT影片 / Watch our Youtube video first:
English Version /
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic, Fashion Ecstasy has been posting slower. As Editor-in-Chief of Fashion Ecstasy, I sincerely apologize to all of our fans and readers. To receive my treatments, I am a regular at the hospital, which puts me at a higher risk than others. Thus, even Taiwan hasn’t enforced any lockdown yet; I decided to practice “social distancing” and #StayHome, not just for me, but also to avoid exposing myself to others. Hence, this post is simply sharing how I keep myself FULLY entertained at home without going coo-coo. Taiwanese are lucky to remain “uncaged,” but I’m guessing the lockdown is driving all our friends in the States crazy. I strongly urge everyone in Taiwan not to be selfish and stay at home as much as possible, please don’t put others at risk.
StayHome Can Be Very Fun and Entertaining, Too!
English Version /
My series of unfortunate life events have turned me into a sensitive person. Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, I burst into tears whenever I turn on the news.
Therefore, this post is not about food, events, or traveling, but merely sharing how I keep myself FULLY entertained at home during my self-isolation. Most of them are silly, but please keep in mind that I AM a stroke survivor who has brain defects. Maybe it’s just me, but I find practicing “social distancing” can be very fun and eventful.
I’ve put together the Top 5 Things you can do at home during COVID-19 isolation so that we are not alone or lonely; we are simply ” #AloneTogether 🙂
Binge-watch “The longest Running Show available on Netflix:
English Version /
This can easily keep you entertained for a few days. I highly recommend watching comedies in this depressing period. According to Google search results, the longest show available on Netflix is “Grace and Frankie.” However, since It ’s a comedy show, the length of each episode is relatively short. If you’re looking to kill time, I’d have to recommend rewatching “Game of Thrones.” We all know how great and complicated the storyline is. It took me over 10 times before catching every scene. I’ve raved about it in my past article here:
Save supplies at the slowest speed:
English Version /
Luckily for Taiwan, the “toilet paper panic” only hit us for about a day. Although I don’t understand the concept of the sense of security that toilet paper provides, but if you are one of them who does, why not watch our video and start splitting all toilet papers and paper towels into 2? Maybe save our planet at the same time.:
Let your OCD kick in:

English Version /
OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder) may be a pain for yourself and others during regular times. However, those affected with OCD, it’s your time to shine and go at it full-force, baby! I, for example, had always lack organizational skills when it comes to keeping my room tidy. Thanks to Coronavirus, my room had never been so organized, and the reason I’m making more videos is also that I finally found a camera that I thought was long gone for a decade, please subscribe to our Youtube channel as we’ll be making more videos going forward, thanks to COVID-19:

( don’t forget to hit that bell 🔔)
I also finally cleaned out all the junk I’ve been hoarding for my lifetime.
Friends with cleaning OCD, you just went from “paranoid to a more “desirable friend.” Woot!
- #4: 在家跟幻想閨密喝下午茶 / high tea with imaginary friends at home:
English Version /
Gossip girls, wifies, and moms are probably going crazy while practicing”social distancing.” It’s time to let your imagination run wild! I don’t have many friends to start with, but I’ve never felt so popular with my imaginary friends (barbies and toys) since my stroke!
Take on Tiktok challenges at home:
English Version /
Although TikTok has gone viral for a while, showing my face on camera has always been a barrier I cannot overcome. Thanks to Coronavirus, to honor my long-lost camera, I overcame that barrier. As a stroke survivor, I also try to incorporate some physiotherapy exercises I’ve learned during my “Road Trip to Recovery ( title of my soon-to-come book)” into my Tiktok (@fashionecstasy) videos, hoping to help fellow stroke-survivors. I used to have a bit of ADHD, so becoming a person with disability has been especially hard on me. Recently, I have to say, “Being disabled and slow is AWESOME!” A video that takes an average person 5 minutes to make takes me a full day, sometimes 2. For example the videos I am posting below:
Disclaimer (please read before you watch the videos below, VERY important):
This is NOT medical advice. I am not a licensed physical therapist, NOR, a doctor or health professional.
I am simply a Stroke survivor since age 29. These are just some physiotherapy exercises I have learned on my “Road Trip to Recovery” (my soon to come book) I filmed in a fun way, hoping to encourage fellow stroke survivors. However, I have asked my physiotherapist about the benefits and purposes of these exercises and am explaining it to you the best I can in a Non-professional and fun way. Before you try these exercises, it’s critical to consult a professional to see if they are right for you.
