Appliance Love Showroom Showcases Cutting-Edge Home Appliances
Appliance Love’s principal theory is “Because every good party ends up in the kitchen.” On Wednesday, April 8th, Appliance Love followed up that concept, by hosting a grand opening party to show off their cutting edge appliances and new retail concept showroom designed by the DesignAgency, at their 950 Dupont Street location.
Guests were treated to an assortment of cocktails and appetizers, from spicy tuna tartar, braised brisket sliders by the Food Dudes, to fresh homemade cannoli served by owner Marco Tallarico’s nonna. The music was lively and upbeat courtesy of DJ Natalie of BELLOSOUND.
The event felt like a red carpet affair with all the star power that was present this evening including, Toronto’s top designers from the DesignAgency, Allen Chan, Anwar Mekhayech, and Matt Davis, Toronto FC’s star Sebastian Giovinco, Restaurant Takeover host Paula Velez, Suits star Patrick Adams, Toronto’s own Fashionista Robin Kay, The Strain actress Natalie Brown, and 104.5 CHUM FM’s host Taylor Kane.
Guests were greeted by a six-foot rotating stiletto holding a washer and a dryer, also showcasing the world’s top 20 leading appliance brands including Wolf, Sub-Zero, Liebherr, GE Monogram and Miele to name a few.
The evening was also about learning and incorporating some of these appliances into your life for a healthier lifestyle, such as using the Urban Cultivator. The Urban Cultivator is an amazing indoor grow machine that can cultivate a wide variety of products, such as vegetables, flowers, herbs and micro greens, it is ideal for any home juicer fan in your household. Attendees were also introduced to a variety of steam ovens and a new Door Filter technology: not only reducing dust allergens, but noise as well.
For me the highlight of the night was meeting Jacqueline Poirier, also known as “The Crazy Plate Lady” as she not only displayed some of her signature plates, but also made her creations at an innovative digital light painting station, transforming guests and appliances into works of art. It was truly a unique experience!
