Last weekend, Bestival, UK’s most dressed-up music & arts festival came to Toronto for the first time.

Ten years ago Bestival challenged fans to attempt a world record for the largest dress up party and changed the culture of music festivals ever since.

To keep up with the creative crowd, Bestival Toronto went beyond music and created escapist themes on the Toronto Islands for attendees to lose themselves in: Day of The Dead, Bollywood temple, knitting tent & yarn bombing, acro Buddhas, and Bestival’s world-renowned inflatable church wedding were just a few.

A dress up tent by 69 Vintage and a pop-up shop by Canada’s largest costume supply store Amazing.ca were on site to provide those off-the-wall threads party goers forgot to bring.

The Wellness Tent provided restorative spa experiences and those who were too dressed up to strip, joined the Costume Parade.

Aside from some big names and UK talents who played on the main stage: Florence + the Machine, Nas, Flume, Caribou, SBTRKT, Banks (and much more); an impressive line-up of local talent including Toronto’s own duo City Kid Soul also played at The Perrier Greenhouse.

After exploring Fido’s Grove of Curiosities, Bestival-goers participated in Keys N Krates new #MobileMusicVideo campaign for a chance to be featured in their new music video.
