The launch party of DINE magazine‘s 8th annual edition at the Four Seasons Hotel on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, was as to be expected-spectacular!

Arriving at the Aria room on the third floor of the tower, you were greeted by a tray of French Martini’s as well as the spectacular view from the floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the tall square space. I myself opted for Prosecco instead!

Because one of the main focus in this edition of the magazine is Italy, Malcesine and Treviso, two types of Risotto were served by a Chef direct from Italy- one with seafood and saffron, and one and one with parmesan and shaved truffles. At the same station a fresh pasta was topped with ground veal in a tomato sauce. Along one length of the room was a table with rich cheeses, spicy cold meats, country pates, sweet jams, fresh bread, crisp crackers and honeycomb! Prosciutto was sliced to order. Delectable bites were passed around: marinated watermelon with feta cheese, pulled beef brisket sliders, beef tartar, bur rata cheese, and savoury tomato macarons filled with a creamy cheese! It seemed like we were sharing one of the Waxman’s Italian food journey.
