Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion preview ft. Nine West, Bandolino, Anne Klein, William Rast shoe & handbags collection & more…

The Sherson Group held its Fall/Winter 2015 Footwear & Handbags Fashion preview entitled, “The Enchanted Forest” at The Gardiner Museum.

We were transported to the world of fantasy and fun while seeing the highlights of their footwear brands Nine West, Charles by Charles David, Bandolino, Anne Klein, Adrienne Vittadini, Mootsies Tootsies, Adrianna Papell, Easy Spirit and William Rast (Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala’s line).

The footwear & handbags collection were separated into themed vignettes.

The 60’s theme entitled That Girl, had Beatle-style boots, colour blocked prints, and t-straps on the heels.

American Woman, had shearling booties, leathers, faux fur, rich browns, and wines.

Weekend Warrior, was more casual with a western feel, featuring moccasins with triple tassels, fringe details on boots, and lace ups.

Borrowed From the Boys featured oxfords, monk straps, and pony-haired lace-ups with back zippered details.

Navy, forest green, a lighter burgundy, and cognac were very strong here.

Norm Core had floral print shoe pumps and matching handbags, two-tone straps with a hidden platform  and Granny boots by Nine West, patent leather shoes by Anne Klein and plaid heels from Charles by Charles David.

Nouveau Leopard was all about the animal prints but with new colours like wine and grey in Nine West‘s collection.

T-straps, slipper style shoes, booties, athletic shoes, and shimmer wedge heels were all in the mix.

Rave Riot had Nine West‘s exaggerated houndstooth patterns, punk style footwear, athletic shoes, and handbags.

Metallic quilted shoes, available in black or silver, were edgy yet wearable.

Come as You Are showed a collection of grunge yet sophisticated styles featuring a modern version of the lace up boot.

Wine, grey, and black were prominent.  And yes, fanny packs are back in style.

Glitz and Glam had metallic elements (silver and gold shimmer), jewels, sequins, lace, brocade print, crushed velvet along with very sexy heels by Nine West and Adrianna Papell. Anne Klein also had a very feminine pair of flats covered in lace.

Willam Rast Footwear was about uniqueness and attitude.

Women’s boots featured fringe, thick heels, pedestrian styles but with a rocker vibe.

The men’s collection (for 2016) was rugged with camel, alpine lace, and colour blocking .

The Nine West jewellery collection showed multi-strands of gold and silver, multi-toned bracelets and necklaces, and classic watches.

To further sweeten the evening, we got to sample the Love Potion cocktail (raspberry sorbet and sprite),
toadstool cupcakes, edible acorns, black forest shortbread cookies and chocolate dipped pretzel bars.

Nothing like being surrounded by gorgeous shoes, boots, handbags, and jewellery to make this writer very happy.

The collections will be available in August 2105 at Nine West and major retailers like The Hudson’s Bay Company.
