歐美國家餐飲業推廣流行「在地取食材」,支持當地農業及畜牧業。「在地取材」不但新鮮、健康、還能促進經濟效益,於是在地食材運動在西方國家早已風行,但咱台灣這方面的知識潮流,好像還是比人家慢了一點。Have A Nice Day 好處餐廳菜單上看似雖都是西餐,卻主張台灣「在地取食材」料理。Have A Nice DAY 好處餐廳招牌主打超好打卡拍照的「黑機雞」,喜歡餵食手機的殘編當然就手刀先衝去吃「黑雞雞」啦!如果說殘編是香蕉(外表雖是黃種人,內心卻是個徹徹底底的白人),那這「黑雞雞」不是黑棗就是黑葡萄吧 !這「黑美人烤雞」其實是咱台灣「在地的」雲林的烏骨雞啦,很台的。Have A Nice DAY 好處餐廳主張「在地取材」,食材都是台灣從北到南當地取材,讓人吃得健康,也在享受美食之餘,有感覺對自己的土地有所貢獻的感覺(殘編都殘障了所以對自己有利用價值或是能貢獻社會會比較多愁善感啦~)

The trend in North America‘s restaurant industry promotes “locally sourced” ingredients for many reasons. Locally sourced ingredients are fresher, healthier and boost the economy. Hence the local food movement has long been active in Western countries. However, in Taiwan, our knowledge and common sense about locally sourced food are still a bit behind.

A first look at Have A Nice Day Restaurant‘s menu located on Luosifu Road, Taipei,’ may lead you into thinking it’s a western restaurant, but their ingredients are, in fact, all locally sourced. Have A Nice Day Restaurant‘s signature dish is its super Instagrammableroast black chicken.” To feed my best friend, iPhone, I had to check it out. If I were a banana with yellow skin but completely white at heart, this chicken would either be a prune or a Black American Orange Watermelon (google it yourself). This “black roast chicken” is actually a black-bone chicken (silkie) from Yunlin, Taiwan. Yep, it’s Taiwanese. I was surprised and happy when I learned about it too. Surprised because you don’t usually see a whole roast chicken at a Taiwanese restaurant; happy because being disabled, it’s nice to know that by eating there, I could probably still contribute to the society and be somewhat useful.

Have A Nice Day 好處餐廳菜單上除了有雙人和四人分享套餐外,主餐大多以燉飯、義大利麵或肉類排餐為主。但看似西餐的餐點其實都是融合台灣在地食材所做出充滿台灣味的創意料理,讓您嘴裡吃得是西餐,心中卻充滿溫馨的家鄉味。

Besides the two-person and four-person set meal sharing menu, Have a Nice Day‘s mains mostly consist of risotto, pasta or meat dishes that are typically found at a western restaurant. Taking a closer look at the ingredients, these items are actually fusion creations of west meets Taiwanese cuisine made with Taiwanese ingredients, so we can all fake being international, but fill ourselves up with a sense of home.

套餐沙拉是基本款的,裡面有生菜跟切丁的火龍果,附上主廚特製的香橙醬,量不多,很陽春。

The salad that comes with the set is pretty basic; lettuce with diced dragon fruit served with the chef’s special citrus dressing. The portion is small, one you’d expect from a set-meal in Taiwan.

我們當天套餐的湯品是洋蔥湯,但別於法式洋蔥湯,Have A Nice Day好處餐廳的洋蔥湯是沒有加起司的洋蔥清湯。同桌的有人默默的把整桌的湯都偷偷嗑掉了,所以殘編想必定很好吃吧。。。

Our daily soup was onion soup, but not French style, the soup is simply prepared with onions without the cheese. One of our guests quietly finished the soup served for the whole table, so I assume it must be delicious…

This frittata‘s egg is the star of the dish. Eggs are cooked to about 1″ high and taste as light and fluffy as the cloud.

櫻桃鴨」從宜蘭紅到台北,但飛到台北的「櫻桃鴨」不知道是否因為台北空氣太髒,胸腔都會歪掉變紅,這道「烤南瓜佐櫻桃鴨胸沙拉」就屬台北自稱「櫻桃鴨」的粉紅色鴨胸肉。底層的沙拉與醬料都是與上述套餐所附的沙拉一樣。

Cherry Duck” got its fame from Yilan and it one of the most popular food items across Taiwan. But somehow when our “cherry ducks” fly to Taipei, their breasts turn red/pink, probably from inhaling too much air pollution in Taipei. This “Pumpkin salad with Cherry Duck Breast” uses one of those pink duck breasts, on a bed of the same salad and dressing that comes with the set meal.

松阪豬外層煎的微焦有味,上面鋪一層切片的檸檬,豬肉也幫咱們切片好分食,吃起來清爽無負擔。

別於一般義式燉飯,Have A Nice Day 好處餐廳的「燉飯」都是使用台灣花東「天生好米」,所以不像西式餐廳燉飯的米粒般硬用自製南瓜醬跟季節蔬菜燉煮的,味道自然溫和,帶點自然的鮮甜

Not your typical Italian risotto, the “risottos” at the Have A Nice Day Restaurant are made with Taiwanese rice sourced from Huadong with a softer and mushier texture. Risotto is prepared with homemade pumpkin sauce and seasonal vegetables. The taste is natural and mild, with a hint of natural sweetness.

時尚高潮的讀者們一定熟知,殘編是一個對於有打卡拍照噱頭的菜色是完全意志力薄弱,沒有抵抗力的人,但Have a Nice Day好處餐廳「黑雞雞」的噱頭也太「屌」了吧!殘編立馬就揪到一桌人一同前往吃它(原來不是只有殘編想吃黑雞雞)。之前提過了,披著烏黑亮麗的黑雞其實是咱台灣雲林土生土長的烏骨雞

黑美人烤雞」的製作過程有美加感恩節火雞的概念,體內裝著滿滿的「stuffing 」(內餡),有在美加吃過感恩節大餐的朋友們應該都知道,光是準備這一隻火雞就至少要花上大半天,還不一定會成功,所以通常感恩節準備火雞的媽媽們當天都會脾氣暴躁。

If you’re one of Fashion Ecstasy’s subscribers (subscribe via right side bar->), you know Instagrammable presentation is one gimmick I cannot resist when I pick restaurants (hey, I have a phone to feed!).

And let’s be fair, Have a Nice Day‘s gimmick rocks! Take a look at this “Roast Black Chicken,” and you be the judge. 

Apparently, I’m not the only one weak-willed and dying to suck the black boner out of this black chicken. I had a full table of friends joining me for it immediately. The restaurant’s roast chicken takes on a Thanksgiving turkey concept. It’s roasted whole and stuffed with “stuffing.” 

We all know that preparing a Thanksgiving turkey can easily take up a whole day for preparation, and that doesn’t even guarantee success. So moms or wifeys who are responsible for Thanksgiving dinner are usually grumpy on Thanksgiving day.

  • 咱們「黑美人烤雞」登場時是整隻的卻也是光鮮亮麗的,

既沒有烤焦,也沒有不熟 。Have a Nice Day好處餐廳用獨特的「蒸烤」方式,跟一般烤箱不一樣,是v先用電烤的方式蒸氣蒸再用火爐烤,所以比較不容易烤焦。中間的內餡是主廚自己用花蓮的「天生好米」所燉出來的蔬菜燉飯,一樣也是軟米心的。

殘編雖然不知道這「黑雞雞」的塞入物是不是從屁屁塞進去的,但殘編超愛吃雞屁股,也不怕騷味,所以沒在怕。

結果「黑美人烤雞」整盤嗑下來,完全沒有騷味或屁味,跟Have a Nice Day好處餐廳其他的菜色一樣,當我們每根黑骨頭都吸允的乾乾淨淨後,還是覺得清爽無負擔。

The chicken is roasted whole with no signs of undercooked or overcooked. Have a Nice Day Restaurant uses a unique “steam-roasting” oven, which is different from a regular oven. It is first steamed then roasted, so the chicken is less likely to burn. The stuffing is the chef’s housemade vegetable risotto, also made with locally grown soft rice from Hualien.

I’m not sure if the stuffing is stuffed from the bottom or top, but I love chicken butts (chicken tails) and stinky meats, so bring it. 

Turns out, the whole dish is not smelly at all and tastes surprisingly light even after we sucked every bit of the black boner out of this chicken.
