Johnny Ramirez Celeb Colourist Takes Over LAC + CO Salon This Weekend
LAC + Co, the new luxury salon owned by Toronto stylist Tony Pham, welcomed celebrity colourist, Johnny Ramirez for a “salon takeover”. Ramirez, known internationally for his colour work on Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckman, Sophia Bush and Jessica Alba (who are just a few among his many famous clients), came to Toronto for the weekend to share his colour technique.
His style, “Lived In Colour” is a subtle and enduring way of highlighting hair. Ramirez is able to recreate any hair colour, including the colour one had as a child. He can achieve one’s goal hair colour in a single day as opposed to months. He is also now a spokesperson ambassador for L’oreal Professional.
Ramirez, who opened his LA salon Ramirez Tran in 2013, flies every month to other big cities such as NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, and now Toronto.
He feels that “if you look good, you feel good” and that “colour can both dress you up and dress you down”. He also believes in “timeless colour” so that the hair colour you wear now, you will also happily wear it in the future.
LAC + Co is a modern salon and boutique. Each floor has a different theme, with the first floor showcasing the full line of scents and oils (among them Cire Trudon, Carriere Freres and Tom Dixon).
The upper floors include the washing lounge and a separate colouring room, which surprisingly has no mirrors. This was done deliberately and clients are happy with it. Fashion illustrator Jocelyn Teng of Wall 9 created the gorgeous painted wall murals exclusively for Ramirez’s weekend-long takeover of the salon. The top floor is the cutting room. LAC + Co also carries an exclusive collection of handbags, jewellery, and baby lines, allowing its clients to try the best of the best in products and fashion.
Nadege pastries were on hand at the launch party and they alone are works of art. The macarons, mini cream puffs, and chocolate creations were all delicious. Beautiful flowers by event designer Jackie O were also on display.
Johnny Ramirez will be taking over LAC + Co Salon from today (March 24th) to March 26th.
