Mankind Grooming Parkdale Celebrates 1 Year in Business

MANKIND Grooming Parkdale location held its one year anniversary event last week on June 1, 2016. The party celebrated the store’s new “Ditch the Disposable Project.” Plastic disposable razors, their cartridges and packaging contribute significantly to Toronto’s landfills. By making a simple change to a double edge safety razor (which offers a better shave), then this will contribute to preserving our environment. To quote Annie Leonard “There is no such thing as “away.” When we throw anything away, it must go somewhere.”

To show their commitment to making a difference, Mankind is donating the proceeds from every shave throughout the month of June to the Toronto Environmental Alliance.

Started in 2009, MANKIND Grooming offers the complete spa experience for men including haircuts, shaves, waxes and pedicures in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. There are three Toronto locations with the Parkdale location being the newest one.

To quench our thirst, we had the chance to try Gruppo Campari’s brand new The Baron Samedi full flavoured spiced rum, Bulldog Dry Gin, Skyy Vodka and Jamaican mule, which featured Appleton Estate Signature Blend rum, ginger beer, lime and Angostura bitters. We also had a chance to win Fendrihan safety razors.
