Natalie Portman Joins TIFF Soiree at Toronto International Film Festival
As much as I wanted to escape this year’s TIFF madness, I just couldn’t give up the chance to meet the Goddess Natalie Portman in person.
At this year’s TIFF, Natalie Portman joined TIFF Soiree, a fundraiser for the Toronto International Film Festival, for an intimate conversation about her career and her life.
Fans all gathered outside of TIFF Bell Lightbox hours ahead of the soiree to get a glimpse of the Academy Award–winning actor as well as other celebrities.
Portman showed up right on time in a stunning Christian Dior Couture Fall 2015 Embellished Dress and graciously walked down the red carpet while answering questions from the media.
She was also here for the North American premiere at TIFF of ‘A Tale of Love and Darkness’, a film that Portman directed, prodiced and co-wrote herself.
Other stars who were in attendance included David Sutcliffe (Proof), Tara Spencer-Nairn (Corner Gas), Chloe Rose (Hellions-TIFF Official Selection), Sarah Gadon (Maps to The Stars), Megan Follows (Reign), Naomi Snieckus (The Steps-TIFF Official Selection), Gia Sandhu (Beeba Boys-TIFF Official Selection), Emily Coutts, Tommie-Amber Pirie (Bitten), Steve Lund (Bitten) and Kristiana Hurley, Olympian Tessa Virtue, Kristian Bruun (Orphan Black), Maxine Bailey, Danielle Brodhagen, Paul Amos (Lost Girl), Kate Corbett, Kristin Booth, and many more.
Proceeds from this year’s TIFF Soirée will enable the Toronto International Film Festival to continue its year-round programming which showcases world renowned films, presents innovative exhibitions, and porvides workshops and diverse educational initiatives for emerging filmmakers.
