Za Pizza Bistro Lets You create your own customized Pizza!
Is there room enough for another pizza place in downtown, Toronto? absolutely! Especially if it’s Za Pizza Bistro which originated in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Za Pizza Bistro’s mission is “to provide a customized pizza experience using the highest quality ingredients at the best price possible.”
On August 14, 2018, at the soft opening of their newest location at 290 Adelaide St. West in Toronto, Za Pizza demonstrated their motto “Custom, Fast, Fired.” The Za Pizza process starts with selecting the crust: thin crust, original, whole wheat or gluten friendly. Next, you choose from a selection of sauces; red, spicy red, creamy white, basil best blend and a couple of others.
Moving for(up)ward, there are 8 kinds of cheeses to choose from to put on your personalized pizza. Of course, mozzarella is a must, but you can also select ricotta, feta, goat or vegan. At Manitoba Pizza Week, Za Pizza Bistro entered their gluten-friendly Island Chicken Pizza, and won Best Gluten-Free Pizza of 2018!
Now it’s time to select the toppings on your pizza. There are the traditionals: mushrooms, green peppers, and pepperoni, as well as more modern items such as spinach, roasted garlic, and arugula. Your pizza is now ready to be fired and put into a very hot oven! When it’s done about 10 minutes later, you can also choose a dipping sauce. If this pizza isn’t enough, you can order a dessert pizza perfect for sharing: Oreo Explosion, Apple Crisp, Cherry Crumble, Rocky Road, S’Mores, or Blueberry Sensation, each topped with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. With their date night special, dinner out with your sweetheart doesn’t have to be expensive. Dine at the restaurant on one delicious pizza, one dessert pizza, 2 wine or domestic beer for $25.
