On June 6, Opera Atelier held their Mirage Versailles 2012 Gala, sponsored by BMO Financial Group, at Evergreen Brick Works. For 26 years, Opera Atelier has brought us pleasure by bringing back the beautiful culture that originated from Italy in the 17th & 18th century. They had performances and costumes representing the aesthetic ideals of the 1700s.  The theatrical experience made me feel like I was on a “21st century Grand Tour“, reminded me of the days I visited La Scala.

With special guest Jeanne Beker hosting the evening, we were guaranteed to see some fashionistas showing off their best pieces pulled out from their wardrobes. The moment I stepped into the venue I quickly spotted a lady wearing my favourite designer brand Alexander McQueen from head to toe. That got me hyped up for the evening, eager to find out what more there is to see. Later on I saw another total look sponsored by Tiffany & Co., with flashing jewelries and a flared, Tiffany Blue mullet skirt. I think it was gorgeous.

The evening featured live & silent auction; Hors d’oeuvres, wine, champagne and the highlight of the night – the giveaway of a set of Tiffany & Co. jewelry that is valued over $25,000.
