Basking in the glow of the ‘Kate effect,’ it is without question an exciting time for Toronto-based fashion house SENTALER. The Duchess of Cambridge appeared in a coat by the Toronto designer during her recent Canadian tour. That gray alpaca garment and many others from the SENTALER brand sold out online, with orders coming in from around the world.
While the royally bestowed attention certainly has shone a bright spotlight on Creative Director & Designer Bojana Sentaler and her line, the increased fame has been used for a greater cause close to the designer’s heart.
Fashion Ecstasy was thrilled to spend an evening with SENTALER as they announced their partnership with SickKids, #SENTALER4SICKKIDS. The initiative launched this fall will see all proceeds raised from the sale of all SENTALER hats donated to SickKids Foundation.
While cocktails, canapés, and coats drew guests to the SENTALER showroom, the focus of the night was without question giving back and raising awareness of this exciting partnership. SENTALER designed custom made, hypo-allergenic, alpaca hats to sell for the cause, and will also be delivering these hats as “Milestone Gifts” to SickKids hospital. With 25% of all adult and kids hats proceeds this season going to SickKids; what better an excuse to shop?
Whether for yourself, a loved one, or to tuck away as a Christmas gift these cruelty-free hats are available online and in stores now.
