The Summer Solstice 2015: Boots & Bling event was held at The Liberty Grand on June 25.

Guests were dressed in their best summer whites with a western theme. The western décor by Lizlyn Custom Floral Event and Design was absolutely vibrant and really made the event spectacular.

It was a great night featuring performances by Hollywood Heaven Entertainment Inc.’s Shania Twain impersonator Zahava, complimentary whiskey tastings, western themed photo booth, hors d’oeuvres and southern food stations by Liberty Grand’s award-winning chefs. And, of course, what would a “western party” be without a mechanical bull?

Some noticeable personalities who were in attendance included Jamie Gutfreud, Elena Semikina and Ainsley Kerr.

This year’s event was a great success raising proceeds over $275,000 for St. Joseph’s Health Centre’s Paediatric Emergency. Since the inaugural 2011 Summer Solstice event, Front Street Capital Charitable Foundation has raised over $1 million for various charities.

This year’s proceeds will go to improving the facilities and services at the St.Joseph’s Emergency Department that serves children and youth under 18 in Toronto’s West End.

Last year St. Joseph’s Paediatric Emergency had over 57,000 children who needed care, and delivered over 3,100 babies. St. Joseph’s is one of the busiest emergency centers, and is an industry leader when it comes to surgery and senior care.
