之前的「幸福豆花」人氣好到很多山寨版都出來開。托老板娘的福,搬到台北殘編才有福氣吃得到!
老闆娘是道地地因為豆豆屋強調不做料理包、都是現點現做,所以店家只好跟著老闆娘搬到新北,咱們台北人才有機會享福啦!

English version / 英文版:Tainan (Southern Taiwan)’s famous tofu pudding (douhua) restaurant has moved to Danshui (Tamsui), New Taipei City!
Originally called “XinfuDouhua, (meaning: “Happy tofu pudding”),” and renamed “Xiaochushi Xinfudouhua, “the store has earned its fame for its homemade tofu pudding (douhua) for over a decade. Like all other successful businesses in Taiwan, knockoffs of the restaurant are popping up in Tainan. The good news is, the owner moved to Taipei and brought her brainchild with her, yay for us! The new location in Tamsui, New Taipei City, is renamed “Doudou wu,”
The owner of Dou Dou Wu is an authentic Tainanese lady. Since food at her restaurant are made-to-order and does not produce instant food packs, it had to come with her. Hence, we have Tainan food brought to us and right across my building!

豆豆屋菜單 / Doudou Wu Menu:

菜單多元化,不只豆花,還有各式各樣的簡餐、湯品跟肉品。菜單上照片都很謙虛,因為食品上桌時都比菜單的照片澎湃許浮誇許多,咱們大家都忍不住手機拿出來準備拍照打卡。
The menu is diversified. Besides tofu pudding (douhua), the restaurant offers a variety of set meals, soups, and meats. The photos on the menu are humble, because when the food is served, each dish is super photo-worthy, we all took our phones out.

豆豆屋」原本是在台南從作豆花起家爆紅的「幸福豆花」,嚴選加拿大非基因改造的黃豆做成的豆花用豆漿取代糖水,因此可以選擇「無糖」或「微糖」。一份豆花可以任選四種配料,豆花口感順口綿密,配上花生跟Q彈的粉圓好好吃。不甜的豆漿讓不愛吃糖的有健康美味的好選擇。

Douhua (tofu pudding) is Doudou Wu‘s signature since its inception in Tainan. Their tofu is made from non-genetically modified soybeans from Canada and replaces sugar syrup with soymilk so guests can modify the sweetness of their douhua. The texture of the tofu pudding is smooth and silky. It is delicious with peanuts and tapioca. Sugar-free soy milk makes a healthy and delicious choice for those who are watching their diets.

  • 「原味炒泡麵」($75元)/ “Stir-Fried Instant Noodles (Original flavour)” ($75NT):「

炒泡麵台南的特色美食,但是來台北一份只賣$75元,殘編真心擔心店家虧本。我們點的「原味炒泡麵」($75元)蔬菜量大而且口味不油膩,一份女孩子應該吃的飽,是適合喜歡簡單午餐的好選擇。

Stir-fried instant noodles are one of Tainan’s specialties. However, pricing it at $75NT/ per order in Taipei had me raise concerns about its profit and loss. We want them to stay. The “Original flavour” that we ordered is prepared with vegetables and the taste is not greasy. It is a good choice for a simple and fast lunch.

  • 咖喱豬排飯 ($190元)/ Pork Cutlet (tonkatsu) with Curry Rice ($190NT):

咖哩堅持不加木瓜粉、嫩精等傷身的添加物,使用日本蘋果咖喱現場廚坊自己熬煮、稍帶甜味,小朋友接受度比較高,現在是草莓季,食材會依季節做一些創意變化。現在是「草莓季」,於是店家用超好吃的草莓點綴,豬排不多加調味料直接油炸後分開擺,可以先品嚐吃到原汁原味的豬排、咖喱,再將他們沾著一起享用,仔細品嚐肉汁、咖喱汁的味道。
整體來說都使用食物的原始原味,清爽無負擔。

English version / 英文版:Curry is prepared without any substances like tenderizer or papain that could potentially harm our health. The kitchen prepares this dish with Japanese apple curry. the curry tastes slightly sweet, making it a good choice for children. Seasonal ingredients are added accordingly. It was the strawberry season when we visited so the staff garnished our dish with super yummy strawberry slices. Pork chops are fried with no additives or seasonings and placed separately from the curry. Diners can taste the original flavours of the cutlet first, try the curry on its own, then dip the cutlets into the curry.

  • 「日式烤雞腿肉飯」(鹽烤 / 醬燒)($190元)/ Japenese-style Grilled Chicken-leg Rice (salt/BBQ sauce)” ($190NT):

雞腿肉是台南養殖直送的,肉質而且厚、份量十足,可以選擇「鹽烤」或「醬燒」。「醬燒」的醬味道很獨特美味,「鹽烤」的加上檸檬好吃到爆炸。每分都是實實在在的稱重量製作,因此不會有偷工減料的問題,絕對值得吃ㄧ次看看,保證入口的新鮮感吃的出來。如果不想吃飯的饕客可以選擇單點的「烤雞腿肉」($120元),使用的肉是一樣的。

Chicken thighs are delivered directly from Tainan farms. The meat is thick and juicy. Guests can choose their meat to be grilled with “salt” or “BBQ sauce“. The BBQ sauce is very unique. Adding lemon to the salt-grilled chicken makes it explosively delicious. Each order is prepared after carefully weighing, so there is no problem with cutting corners. Guests get what they order. Once bitten, we could taste the freshness exploding in our mouths. If you’re not looking for too many carbs, you can opt for the “BBQ Chicken Leg ($120NT)” instead, the meat used here is the same.

  • 「藥膳鮮肉雞湯附白飯」($180元)/ Chinese herbal chicken soup with rice ($180NT):

外表看似麻油雞以為是燥熱湯頭,俗不知喝下第一口之後,湯頭甘甜無比,不像一班用中藥做湯底的料理一樣、中藥味過重掩蓋雞。的鮮甜。雞肉一口咬下很彈口,就老闆娘所言,這是台南當天急送的雞肉,且可以配飯也可以換成米粉、烏龍麵、冬粉、油麵、雞絲麵等,這到餐點絕對是此小館招牌之一。

At first sight, the dish looks no different from a regular sesame oil chicken soup. Our minds are blown away after the first sip. The soup is sweet, and unlike the usual dishes that are prepared with Chinese herbs, the taste of Chinese medicine is not strong enough to cover the taste of the chicken. The chicken and herbs coexist in beautiful and peaceful harmony. The chicken is very bouncy and juicy. According to the owner, the chicken is delivered on the same day from Tainan. It can be served with rice or guests can choose to replace rice with rice noodles, udon noodles, glass noodles, oil noodles, chickens, or vermicelli. This is definitely a must-try at Doudou Wu.

愛吃辣的人有福了,豆豆屋使用超帶勁的印度鬼椒,可選為辣、「中辣」或「大辣」。我們點「中辣」也能吃到鼻涕、口水直流。一般的辣是刺激舌頭表面,會讓人感覺刺痛不舒服,鬼椒可不一樣,搭配炒飯吃下去,整個感覺像一股渾厚的辣味直接在口腔內噴發,簡單來說就是噴火龍吐火的感覺,而且不會不舒服,而是過癮的吃辣炒飯,我們甚至吃到甜點了還在一直叫辣。喜歡吃辣的人必推!

This is a must-try for spicy food-lovers. Rice is stir-fried with ghost peppers from India, guests can choose the level of spiciness they want: mild, medium, or “hot.” We order “Medium Spicy”, which kept us tearing and drooling non-stop! Normally, spicy food stimulates the surface of the tongue and can cause tingling discomfort. The ghost pepper delivers much stronger, powerful spiciness without the discomfort.
The spiciness made us crying “hot! Hot! Hot!” even after desserts were served!

殘編不會用蹲式廁所,所以以前去中國大陸約朋友都要約在五星旅館。每個地方如廁習慣不一樣,小時後待過啊拉伯世界的我知道很多穆斯林國家都習慣洗如廁後清洗屁屁。豆豆屋的馬桶座旁邊有裝一個蓮蓬頭,所以有習慣洗屁屁的客人可以安心如廁。

Squat toilets are common in Asia but not in the west. Growing up in western culture has spoiled me, and I never learned how to squat. In the past, whenever I went to mainland China for a meeting, I always had to schedule at a five-star hotel. Toilet habits can really differ in different cultures. Having stayed in the Arab world for years, I know that many Muslim countries are used to bidets. A shower head is equipped next to the toilet at Doudou Wu, so guests can use it as a bidet shower and wash away.

Even though our full meal at Doudou Wu contained all deep-fried, stir-fried, and grilled food. But we were left with a clean palate. Even when we almost ordered and devoured everything. There is no greasy taste in the mouth, only the smell and aromas of natural ingredients still swirl in the mouth. I recommend people from Taipei to try Doudou Wu, a gem that traveled from Tainan.
