Travel: A Week in Greece – From Santorini to Mykonos
Greek Islands- a perfect place to fall in love – from Santorini to Mykonos
There is nothing more romantic than sitting on a cliff-top patio, sipping on fine wine while overlooking the incredible view of caldera sunset. Santorini, a small, crescent-moon shaped island in Greece, really blew my mind away.
Santorini was the first stop of our 1-week Greece journey. It is rated one of the world’s top islands with its white-washed buildings, smooth sandy beaches and stunning volcanic scenery.
We stayed at the Aressana Spa Hotel & Suites in Fira, the modern capital of Santorini, and rented a car to drive around the island. We spent most of our daytime relaxing on the beach with mojitos and our nights bar/club hopping. We visited the villas and shops along the beach side. We indulged ourselves in full body oil massages & hot stone treatments at one of the most luxurious spas on the cliff-top (I cannot recall the name) with a breathtaking view. Words cannot describe & pictures cannot capture how beautiful it was overlooking Satorini’s caldera from there. According to the owner they also catered to Angelina Jolie, Lada Gaga and other Hollywood stars. Of course, we also did not forget visiting Oia for its famous sunset.
We were only able to snap some cell phone pictures since we didn’t have a professional camera with us. But after travelling to more than 30 countries, Santorini was definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. Read our post on Mykonos!
