The 10th annual The Artist Project 2017 will once again bring together the most talented Canadian and international artists under one roof, exhibiting over 5000 works of art. The art fair is on from Feb 23-28 at the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place. This year’s theme is BIRTHDAY PARTY, and it will be an exciting four days.

The Opening Night Party is the perfect time to celebrate all of the art and guests will have the first chance to purchase the pieces, enjoy specialty cocktails, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, music ( from DJs Lissa Monet and DEEJAY Ling), and art performances. A portion of the night’s ticket sales will be donated to Artbound‘s Creative Deeds Programs

This year, LA artist Tracy Hiner‘s 100-foot long mural, “The Tenth Tide,” will no doubt garner a lot of accolades. There will be so much to see and experience throughout the fair including Art Chats seminars ( with Mark Challen of StreetARToronto, Manny Neubacher and Anya Shor of The Art Stylists, and several others), Art Battle #494 (live competitive painting), Untapped Emerging Artists Competitions, Birthday Artist Competition, Art Walks guided tours, Kevin Holliday’s multimedia performance “Rub” (where attendees interact as if he is a lucky statue) and the Installation Zone ( where artists use various mediums to express their ideas). In the Installation Zone, W.W. Hung‘s moving sculpture “The Girl With Paper Boats” will be featured and the work is inspired by the movement of bodies.

Among the artists exhibiting at the fair are photographer Simon Wilms, painter Benny Bing, printmaker Shogo Okada, textile artist Sam Pedicelli, digital media artist Harv Glaser and glass artist Ed Colberg.
