WIFT-T (Women in Film & Television) celebrated its annual party during TIFF 2013 at the CBC Atrium in Toronto. The night was to celebrate the spirit and creativity of Toronto women in film and television. It was a sold-out affair exclusively to WIFT-T members and was also well attended by Canadian talented television actors and media professionals-both in front of and behind the cameras.

WIFT-T is a member-based professional organization that supports women in screen-based media—film, television and digital media—to build, advance and sustain their careers nationally and internationally.

The evening also celebrated their mentorship program to provide opportunity for emerging female talent to gain valuable experience in broadcasting, learning about production and scripted content. September 25th is the deadline application of the internship program.

Guests bid on great silent auction items and enjoyed a various selection of food from vegetable wraps to chicken skewers to delectable cupcakes. Hollywood is starting to catch on to the notion that women in film are valuable. All in all, WIFT-T is there to provide valuable assistance to women in film and we are proud of their support.
