Aveda invited us to attend the launch of Aveda’s Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight product at Hotel Ocho. Aveda Canada CEO Ray Civello exhibited his black and white photographs of Toronto trend-makers who had their curly locks straightened using this fantastic product. Models at the launch had part of their hair straightened with Naturally Straight, showing us in person, the dramatic results.
We were treated to veggie burger sliders, couscous, grilled chicken, tuna tartare and veggie kabobs. MTV’s Aliya-Jasmine Sovani, one of those photographed, attended with Toronto Argonaut Mike Brandwell. Drinks provided included Smooth Operator (muddled mint, prosecco, and limoncello), Hinterbrook Sauvignon blanc, Keint-He Voyageur pinot noir, and Mill St. Organic beer.
Aveda practitioners provided hand massages with which were quite relaxing. Attendees were encouraged to take selfies on Instagram and received souvenir printed photographs.
