繼上次按粉絲要求開箱試吃及第水餃的手工冷凍水餃後,殘編完了,愛上了!也喚醒胃中那因過敏而已沈睡、禁食很久的大食怪。上次開箱試吃義美的超特別口味:「瓜仔雞肉」水餃後,沒想到及第竟然也有出「瓜仔雞肉」口味的冷凍水餃。及第的瓜仔雞肉冷凍水餃一袋重量950克僅僅只要$119元,CP值超高。但這次的開箱包裝上就沒有上次「及第冷凍豬肉高麗菜手工捏花水餃」開箱的精緻,除了一袋塑膠袋包裝,裡面沒有附塑膠盒,一樣的品牌,不一樣的包裝品質。殘編想可能這個「瓜仔雞肉」口味成本比較高吧?

Since our “Jidi Handmade Frozen Dumplings (Pork & Cabbage Flavour) 800g Open Box Review” requested by fans, I’ve fallen in love with the brand! Worse, it has summoned the hungry beast in my stomach that had been hibernating for a long time due to my allergies back to life. I’ve fallen back down the binge-eating rabbit hole! We did an open box review for Imei‘s handmade frozen dumplings because we were intrigued by its unique flavour: “Chicken with pickled cucumber.” We didn’t expect Jidi to come up with the same “Chicken with pickled cucumber” flavoured frozen dumplings, too. So, we had to do another open box. A bag of Jidi‘s “chicken with pickled cucumber” handmade frozen dumplings weighs up to 950 grams. For the price of just $119TWD, I say it’s a steal for your supermarket haul. However, the packaging this time is not as delicate as the “pork and Cabbage frozen Dumplings” we reviewed last time. No plastic box is included in the plastic bag to keep the dumplings safe and uncrushed—it makes you wonder why the same brand will produce the (almost) same products with different packaging quality. Perhaps the cost of this “chicken with pickled cucumber” flavour is relatively higher.
雖然名為瓜仔「雞肉」但成分表仔細一看,這款水餃食材並不是只有「雞肉」那麼簡單,有:麵粉、高麗菜、雞肉、醬瓜〔黃瓜、黃豆醬汁、黃豆酸水解液、食鹽、蔗糖、調味劑、小麥蛋白、甜味劑、蔗糖、蒜、雞肉粉、關華豆膠等等,殘編認為,及第取這樣誤導消費者的口味名子,包裝上應該要特別標示「有含豬肉」,才不會讓有引飲食禁忌的饕客在不知情下破了戒。

Although the flavour is simply labelled with “chicken,” the ingredients of these dumplings are not as simple as just “chicken.” The ingredients list reads: flour, cabbage, chicken, pickled cucumber ( made with cucumber, soy sauce, Hydrolyzed vegetable protein), salt, sucrose, flavourings, wheat protein, sweeteners, sucrose, garlic, chicken powder, Guar gum, and the list goes on. The labelling of this product is misleading for consumers with food restrictions. The labelling should include cautions like “this product contains pork” to prevent foodies from breaking their dietary restrictions, worse, without knowing it.

上次義美的「瓜仔雞肉冷凍水餃」口味偏鹹。比起義美的「瓜仔雞肉冷凍水餃」:一樣的口味,及第的卻是意外的偏甜,應該是台灣人會喜歡的口味。熟知殘編的粉絲們都知道殘編特別不喜歡在鹹食添加糖、另人困惑的口味。但可能是因為上次開箱試吃及第冷凍豬肉高麗菜手工捏花水餃太好吃,潛意識留下深刻的印象。即便這次吃偏甜的「瓜仔雞肉冷凍水餃」,我還是強迫症上身,一口氣幹光光。

While Imei‘s “Chicken with pickled cucumber” handmade Frozen Dumplings are on the saltier side, Jidi‘s “Chicken with pickled cucumber” handmade Frozen Dumplings is unexpectedly sweet, which is the accustomed Taiwanese taste. However, fans familiar with my style know I’m not fond of the confusing taste of savoury foods with added sugar. Maybe last time’s Jidi “Handmade Frozen Pork and Cabbage Dumplings open box review was too delicious that it planted a trigger point for Binge Eating Disorder in my subconscious when I see the brand “Jidi.”Despite not being a fan of the sweet flavouring of Jidi‘s “Chicken with pickled cucumber” handmade Frozen Dumplings, the unleashed Binge Eating Disorder monster in me still demolished the whole serving in one breath.

誇張到幾乎已經體無完膚了,在靠了好幾個月的飲食控制後,最近才好轉。但在爆食及第的「瓜仔雞肉冷凍水餃」隔天,我好不容易好轉的皮膚濕疹又復發了,不知道是因為上述提到的不簡單的成分內容還是食安方面一直都惡名昭彰的統一大集團裡面有添加一些其他沒列出來的有害成份而引起的。所以特殊體質或對食物有過敏的饕客們千萬要特別注意!

It is no news that I’m blessed with special body conditions and health issues; fans following my TikTok account know that my health problems didn’t end with my massive hemorrhagic stroke. I have been suffering from eczema for over a year, to the point that I almost have more clear skin left on my body. After months of dietary control, I’ve finally seen some improvement recently. But the day after eating Jidi‘s “Chicken with pickled cucumber“ handmade Frozen Dumplings, my eczema broke out again. It could be the “not-so-simple” ingredients mentioned above or yet another Uni-President Enterprise’s food scandal, Taiwan‘s most extensive food production company contributing to Taiwan‘s infamous food scandals. I might have consumed a bunch of hazardous and harmful ingredients not listed on the label. Therefore, foodies with health concerns or food allergies must pay special attention!
