Le Grand Bal Masquerade 2014- Canadian Fabric Magazine

The House of Forward Fashion (HOFF) plays a significant role in documenting the evolution of Canada’s cultural fabric as well as raising awareness for low profile children’s charities. HOFF hosts two major fundraising activities, an annually published magazine and a gala event named Le Grand Bal Masquerade.
Le Grand Bal Masquerade took place on November 24, 2014 at the Distillery District‘s Fermenting Cellar.

The event celebrated volume two of Canadian Fabric Magazine, a unique cultural yearbook which seeks to define what it means to be fashionable and forward thinking in Canada.

This year’s beneficiary was the accredited youth mental health centre Oolagen.
This highly respected organization has been helping Toronto families for over forty-seven years.
The founding sponsors of HOFF are Rogers and Mantella Corporation, and the presenting sponsor of the 2014 le Grande Bal Masquerade was Spider Tech.

Each year, Suzanne Rogers presents iconic Canadians who, through their philanthropy, are changing the Canadian fabric.

The cocktail reception for this black tie gala based on fashion fantasy and the outrageous fantastical, did not disappoint!
Masked women were adorned in beads, glitter and feathers.
Passed hors d’oeuvres included tuna tartar served in a green tea cone, wasabi salmon served in a cone, and sweet potato latkes. Guests were greeted with live violin music before entering the spectacular dinner space decorated with crystal chandeliers, black table linens, glass candelabra, gold chargers, and red roses.

After the debut of Canadian Fabric at Le Grande Bal Masquerade, it is being distributed at Chapters/Indigo and one hundred percent of the net proceeds will be donated to Oolagen Youth Mental Health.
