Starlight Children’s Foundation Gala 2019 Brings Children’s Fairytale to Real Life
An elegant gala was planned for the 24th Annual Starlight Children’s Foundation Gala. Starlight’s’ goal is to raise funds to bring joy to children who are very ill, and make their wishes come true. Since 1998 this foundation has been helping families cope and bringing them happiness during their time of sadness and stress. Starlight is there to support the families from hospital to home.
The Westin Hotel was a fairy tale haven on Saturday, March 23, 2019, when the 2019 Starlight Gala took place. Greeting guests upon arrival were aerialists, jugglers, and a man on stilts, fairy tale characters and a carriage. The venue was decorated for a fairy tale evening.
On the Red Carpet were the Team Wishes. Also Ann Kaplan and Grego Minot of The Real Housewives of Toronto and Actress Cindy Sampson. Other notables include Christine Rezvanian, Starlight Ambassador & VP of My Storage Canada, fashion designer David Dixon, CP24 News Anchor Jee-Yun Lee, Jessika Fink, Justin Harris, and Fashion Designer Michael Zoffranieri.
The evening’s host Rick Campanelli also introduced guests to Juno Award winner Simone Denny and singer Tyler Shaw.
The schedule for the Fairy Tale themed evening included a vast silent auction completely filling the tables on the lower level. Guests perused and bid on items while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. ! Raffle tickets were available for purchase in addition to Teddy Bears and Surprise Grab Bags.
