We were pleased to be invited by Brock McLaughin to attend the Toronto’s Festival of Beer 2013, where over 200 breweries around the world all came together to the Exhibition Place to pour their best beers over the course of July 26th-28th. I always find beer shopping challenging when there are so many new brands and craft breweries popping up across the globe to choose from. The Toronto’s Festival of Beer can really help us find our favourite beer & breweries. This year The Toronto’s Festival of Beer showcased the favourites from the West coast of North America including Granville Island, Rogue Brewery, Central City Brewing Company, Tree Brewery, and so on. A new section was also designated for guests to try new brews from Ontario.
In addition to beer sampling, there were also food vendors offering food that pairs best with beer. Vendors included Smoke’s Poutinerie, Texas Tornado, Tiny Tom Donuts, MELT Grilled Cheese, and Oyster Boy, to name a few.
While drinking and eating, attendees also enjoyed live entertainment from the main stage by Big Sugar, reggae legend Willi Williams, Escort, De La Soul, and platinum award-winning band – The Spin Doctors playing hits like “Two Princes,” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.”
What a way to celebrate the golden beverage!
