Canadian Art’s 30th Anniversary Magazine Launch

Art lovers conveyed upon MOCCA (The Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art) to attend a great after party for Canadian Art Foundation’s Gallery Hop Day, a day for art lovers to join gallery hop tours of their own choice in celebration of Canadian Art’s 30th anniversary issue.

MOCCA was a fitting venue to pay tribute to the magazine which has promoted artists in Canada since 1984.

David Liss, director and curator for MOCCA spoke a few words at the celebration. Guests also had an opportunity to experience MOCCA‘s current exhibit by artist Mark Soo entitled , “House is a Feeling” from the National Gallery of Canada.

Attendees were treated to a variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres from à la Carte Kitchen including: foie gras, chicken wrapped in a crêpe, smoked salmon topped with caviar, ahi tuna, and goat cheese in pastry.
