Last night, on June 20,The National Ballet of Canada celebrated it’s 60th glamorous years with the Diamond Gala. The fundraising event featured stunning performances, luxurious prize draws, diamond-themed dinner and a healthy selection of food at the cocktail reception. On stage, the dancers performed some pieces that they choreographed themselves with a lot of world premieres; off stage, the partners and members who participated in “The Tutu Project” exhibited their Tutu creations. The night of Art and Fashion successfully raised $1.35 million for The National Ballet of Canada.
We loved the Eggplant Arugula Rolls and the Curry Chicken Salad Pinwheels catered by Whole FoodsMarket; we enjoyed the “SKYY with Diamonds” cocktail served with SKYY Vodka, basil lemonade, and a splash of soda.
We spotted David Dixon and Shay Lowe, Shay Lowe tells us about her jewellery designs:
What people were wearing: we noticed a lot of Ralph Laurens, Calvin Kleins, BCBGs and Armanis for the night.
