Dîner en Blanc @ Fort York

White dress, check! white umbrella, check! The rain didn’t stop us from attending Dîner en Blanc.
On Aug 9^th, 2012, the most famous “Secret” pop-up Dîner en Blanc picnic party took place at Fort York, Toronto. We were told to be prepared in a total-white look and stay tuned until they finally announced their mysterious location one hour prior to the event. 1,400 of friends gathered with white tables and chairs in hand, because for this event, you set up your own tables. 
Guests were eager to attend this mass “chic picnic”, despite the rain, the venue quickly reached its guest-list capacity. The laces, the feathers, the flowers. The white really brightened up this gloomy weather.

Dîner en Blanc was first launched in Paris over 20 years ago by François Pasquier and a handful of friends. It recalls the elegance and glamour of European court society. The events now take place over 15 international cities (mostly in Europe), and total several hundred members each year.
