Eat to the Beat 2015 in Support of Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support
Eat to the Beat is a Culinary delight for a great cause. On Tuesday October 27, 2015, at the Roy Thomson Hall, people gathered around delectable specialties and mouth-watering dishes to support the 20th anniversary of Eat to the Beat.
The participating chefs planned exquisite culinary delicacies to benefit Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support, a not-for-profit organization that offers free peer support to anyone coping with breast cancer.
Proceeds raised from Eat to the Beat go directly to the programs and services that Willow offers. Since inception, Eat to the Beat has successfully raised over $3.7 million for Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support.
The event was a foodie’s dream that included sweet and savory treats, premium beers, wines and spirits. The guest dined with enthusiasm, pausing only to comment on the flavors of the dishes and then restocking their palates with more irresistible delicacies.
The event, now in its 20th year, is a signature event in Toronto. It showcases the culinary talents of many of our city female chefs, restaurants, caterers, and dessert and beverage specialists.
It is wonderful to see how many chefs donated their time and effort to raise money and awareness for Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support organization.
Many of the participating chefs have been with the organization since its early years. It’s women helping women in support of Willow. Coming together for a good cause is what community and Toronto are all about.
