Founded in 2009 by Jessica Oliver, Ali Reid and Jen Foster, the annual Frocktail Party is always a popular Toronto event for the young and fashionable.
Frocktail Party Started as a fundraiser for juvenile type 1 diabetes. This year’s Frocktail Party, held on November 21, 2014, took place at the Arcadian Loft with passed hors d’oeuvres by Oliver + Bonacini Events and Catering; butternut squash soup, stuffed oysters, and tuna tartar.
The evening’s specialty cocktails made with Iceberg Vodka were the Blue Passion, Icetini and Canadian Bloody Caesar.
Peroni beer and Esquinas de Argento wines were available for those wanting a lighter drink.
Revlon Professional was on site styling guests’ hair and CNDC Nails were doing manicures. Men also received shoe shine services from John Allan’s.
Women and men came dressed to impress and to buy!
Top Canadian and International fashion designers such as Narces, Greta Constantine and Rachel Sin, and retailers such as Hudson’s Bay, Browns, and Want Boutique, just to name a few donated dresses, shoes and accessories for the auction.
If you weren’t successful in getting the dress you bid on, a Swag Bag for you to fill your own goodies was available for just $25.
All proceeds from the Frocktail Party go to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation): the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
