Harry Rosen Menswear hosted its Harry’s Underground Lounge at its Bloor Sreet West location last Wednesday, May 11th. The night celebrated the heat and glamour of Miami, which also served as the location for the current Harry Magazine.
Tropical flavours and colours combined with Cuban music made us forget that we were still in Toronto.
There were a few special cocktails created for the night. The Underground Spiced Rhubarb Rosemary Margarita was made with tequila, lime, rhubarb, chili salta and simple syrup, Harry’s Lemongrass Mojito was mixed with rum, mint, lemongrass and club soda, and The Raptor was prepared with dark rum, Campari, pineapple, lime, sugar, and yellow chartreuse. Peroni beer, Honoro Vera Grenache and Montes Twins Sauvignon/Chardonnay were also available to quench our Miami thirst.
Daniel et Daniel catering company offered a huge guacamole bar and it was outstanding. Attendees got to combine many interesting items into the scumptious homemade guacamole such as strawberry, pickled onion, mango, roasted tomato, bacon, goat cheese, cilantro, and basil. The mix was served with delicious house-made corn chips.
To further satisfy our taste buds, Hotel Gelato offered their gelato bar with a variety of flavours to choose from. We tried their salted caramel, pistachio, lemon ricotta, mango sorbet, coconut and dark chocolate. Combining these flavours was a lot of fun. We especially loved the dark chocolate with the pistachio, and the lemon ricotta with the salted caramel.
Besides serving drinks, Peroni also provided a photo-booth to capture the fun Miami moments.
