Holly Eyewear held a party to celebrate the opening of its new store in Yorkville.
Owned by Holly Gill, Holly Eyewear features luxury women’s eyewear by designers from around the world, including Masunaga (Japan), Zac Posen (USA), Bobbi Brown (USA), Sama Eyewear (USA), Carlottas Village (Denmark), Fendi (Italy), Dolceroma (Italy), Retrosuperfuture (Italy) and Sunday Somewhere (Australia).
Some of the glasses that caught our attention were Sunday Somewhere‘s Isabella style black rounded glasses, Sama Eyewear‘s black and gold plated glasses (selling at $1500.00) and Retrosuperfuture‘s Super Andy Warhol line.
Exclusive to Holly Eyewear, the Super Andy Warhol line is a collaboration between Retrosuperfuture and The Andy Warhol Foundation, bringing to life Andy‘s sketches of extraordinary sunglasses that he had created for Harper’s Bazaar.
There are four designs in the collection: Babybaby, Nicolou, Velvetdarling and Ultracandy. Our favourite is Ultracandy with it’s tinted red heart lenses. The Super Andy Warhol glasses are limited to 100 pieces per design worldwide.
Pusateri‘s catered the evening and provided goat cheese pistachio balls, beef carpaccio, jumbo shrimp, and tomato bocconcini on skewers. All were quite delicious.
