Luminato Festival 2013 Kicks Off with Yves Saint Laurent Opening Night Party

Yves Saint Laurent helped kick off Luminato Festival 2013 with an Yves Saint Laurent themed Opening Night Party at the Brookfield Place. The party opened with celebrities strutting down the red carpet including Willem Dafoe.

The whole Allen Lambert Galleria was turned into an Yves Saint Laurent wonderland with blue and gold lighting, the colours representing Luminato and Yves Saint Laurent. In the centre of the hall was a gigantic claw-machine filled with prizes. Taking a closer look there was a live human inside the machine acting as the claw which guests can control with a joystick. The game was an art installation called Stockpile created by nine visual artists from across Canada. The people ‘hung’ inside were the artists themselves. Walking inside there was a Yves Saint Laurent beauty lounge where the ladies can get the Yves Saint Laurent look with Yves Saint Laurent products, a station where guests received the award-winning Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Highlighter personalized with their own name carved on it, and an Yves Saint Laurent cigar station for the men.
Yummy hors d’oeuvres circulated the hall. The bar served Open Wines and specialty cocktails made with Drambuie and Pravda Vodka.
