Scrubs in the City Presents: Secret Garden Gala 2012 for the Hospital of Sick Children (SickKids)

On June 7th, Scrubs in the City presented the highly anticipated Secret Garden gala, a fundraiser for the SickKids  in order to the support Urgent Care Unit of the Hospital of Sick Children. 

Most people do not realise how important the Urgent Care Unit is. The ability to provide immediate and proper care for patients in the Emergency Department is a critical stage. A former patient of SickKids Hospital was on stage  to share his story. He is grateful for the proper urgent care he received at SickKids years ago that saved him an arm.

This year’s event was greater than ever! The theme was “Secret Garden” and guests dressed up as playful characters. The decoration was gorgeuous and I couldn’t help but take a bunch of pictures. Gourmet food were passing around and serving hot on stove. Special cranberry & white-cranberry martinis were served at the bar and wine on the patio. Shawn Desman appeared as a special guest to bring us an evening of performances and excitement. We got a chance to talk to him in person and he was definitely gorgeous. Guests also received a bag of goodies upon leaving.
