Last night, Storys Building‘s Cocktail Parlor, a partnership between INK Entertainment and Icon Legacy Hospitality, hosted a media tasting event for us to sip and savor their cocktails and appetizers. Though we’ve attended Cocktail Parlor’s grand opening event earlier in July, last night was the first time we got to taste a variety of hand crafted cocktails they had to offer. From whiskeys to tequilas, rums, vodkas, and gins, the Cocktail Parlor’s 66-long cocktail list sure has something for everyone. Each drink focused on the purity of the spirits and the quality of the ingredients.
The Cocktails…
If you like it sour & bitter, try the Sour Sloth composed of tanqueray gin, meletti amaro, fernet branca, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white. It has a smooth, bittersweet taste with floral notes.
If you like it hot and spicy, try the Las Brujas made with blanco tequila, strega, sugar, fresh lemon and jalapeno Chilies. The jalapeño really gives a kick.
If you are indecisive, simply ask the server to recommend a drink based on your preference. Our friend requested for something sweet and she got a customized chocolate cocktail, courtesy of Wes, the bartender.
The Food…
Food at the Cocktail Parlor are served bite-size to complement the premium cocktails. Our favourite was the Dry Aged Ribeye with Yukon potato purée, piri piri, and sizzling sauce poured over.
The Spiced Ash Hamachi was also very refreshing with lime & coconut.
The Desserts…
Our favourite was the Aero Chocolate with a very light & citrusy flavour.
