The Body Shop launches 3 new collections for Fall 2013 – Honeymania, Colour Crush, and Camomile!
Despite the gloomy weather, The Body Shop lightened up our day by indulging us in their latest Honeymania products and a “bee-utiful” honey- inspired media breakfast.
The Body Shop’s new Honeymania collection is made with Community Fair Trade honey from Ethiopia. The Body Shop works with experts in Ethiopian honey – Bera Mar to source the honey. Their program provides chances for Ethiopian beekeepers to have a reliable income.
The honey they use is sourced from Sheka rainforest in the Ethiopian Highlands. We had the chance to taste it, it has a light floral aroma which makes it distinct from any other honey.
It was shocking to learn that each Honeymania Body Butter is made of 8000 flowers harvest by 16 bees, and the honey in each honey-stick is equivalent to one bee’s honey output in its lifetime. I can only imagine how nourishing the products are. Other products from the collection include Honeymania body scrubs, Honeymania bubble bath melts, Honeymania Eau de Toilette, Honeymania soaps and Honeymania shower gels.
(The Honeymania collection will be available in-store and online on October 7, 2013)
Another collection that The Body Shop will be launching is the Colour Crush collection consisting of 30 eye shadow shades and 24 vibrant lipstick shades. The colours of the Color Crush eye shadows range from neutral colors such as beige to shocking brights, definitely the summer’s must-haves.
The Color Crush collection is made 100% cruelty-free, just like any other Body Shop products. The shimmers are made from mineral mica instead of crushed shellfishes or any other bug shells.
The Body Shop will also be launching a new collection of make-up removal products made with Camomile extracts, a flower that is best known to calm and soothe the skin. Products from the collection include a gentle eye make-up remover, muslin cloths for cleansing, a Camomile sumptuous cleansing butter, a Camomile silky cleansing oil, and a Camomile waterproof eye make-up remover.
Did I mention that all products listed above are under $20?
(The Crush Colour collection and the Camomile collection will be available in-store and online on August 12, 2013)
The Dragon Fruit Lip Butter by The Body Shop is made to support charitable causes. 100% of the profits from this $6 lip butter go to charities including Dress for Success, Polar Bear International, and Pollination Canada. With each purchase, customers get a token to vote for one of the three charities they believe in the most. Then, each charity will receive the funds based on the number of the votes.
