TIFF Beauty Suite with Celebrity Hairstylist Darrel Redleaf

The Toronto International Film Festival was back for another year! From Thursday, September 10^th to Sunday, September 20^th, 4000 movie lovers and professionals in the entertainment industry flocked to Toronto to view the high profile films, attend the non-stop flow of parties and industry events, and hopefully catch a glimpse of their favourite Hollywood actor, actress, or director walking the red carpet. As one of the world’s most premiere film festivals, it seemed only appropriate to kick off this ten-day long movie fest in style.

The TIFF Beauty Suite treated their guests to glamourous makeovers at their TIFF Beauty Suite on Thursday, September 10^th, 2015. The penthouse suite inside The Templar Hotel was transformed into high end hair salon, complete with high mirrors and salon quality styling tools. The lucky guests received complimentary hair and makeup touch-ups from The Beauty Team, who were very professional and engaging to everyone they greeted and styled. Glo Minerals were used by the makeup artists and the hair stylists used products from Flow, an American-based hair care line that is expected to make its Canadian debut later this year.

The biggest highlight of the evening was hanging out with celebrity hairstylist Darrel Redleaf himself in the penthouse suite. Darrel was so delightful and engaging as he spoke about his expansive career in the hair industry, his work with famous clients such as Selena Gomez, Helen Hunt, and Matt Ryan (lead actor on the TV series, Constantine). As a brand ambassador for Flow hair care and Viviscal (a drug-free supplement that safely and effectively stimulates hair growth), Darrel’s passion for the products shone through as he discussed the environmentally friendly and socially responsible aspects of both product lines.
