WXN (Women’s Executive Network) held its 12th annual Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards Gala last night at the MTCC. This year’s theme Timeless celebrated strong female leaders of Canada who have made significant contributions to their communities.
We joined an elite group of award winners at the dining table while emcee Catherine Murray introduced us to all the top female leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and trendsetters.
It is incredible to see how many women there are at the highest levels in the board and executive fields.
Awards given out were broken down into nine categories including BMO Arts & Communications, RBC Champions, Accenture Corporate Directions, Scotiabank Executives, Telus Future Leaders, KPMG Professionals, CIBC Entrepreneurs, PwC Public Sector Leaders, Sun Life Financial Trailblazers & Trendsetters, and WXN Hall of Fame Awards which were given out to those who have won the Top 100 Awards 3 times.
Some of the award recipients include Lisa Laflamme, Chief news anchor & senior of CTV National News, Brenda Andress, commissioner of Canadian Women’s Hockey League, and Betty Devita, president of MasterCard Canada.
