8th Annual Chilean Wine Festival @ ROM by Wines of Chile
An Unforgettable Night of Chilean Wine and Gourmet food!
On Tuesday October 2 we attended the 8th annual Chilean Wine Festival @ the ROM by Wines of Chile. There was an abundance of wine, 130 different types (to be exact), from over 30 wineries.
Attendee’s enjoyed an abundance of fine wines from Chilean wine regions (North to South). Wines were paired with wide selection gourmet appetizer and tapas prepared by Chef Andres Michel including tasty mini empanadas filled with beef, cheese, or seafood, mouth watering mushroom soufflé tarts, unique savory polenta squares topped with blueberries, fine cheeses, hearty braised beef, flavorful shrimps/scallops presented in martini glass and succulent chicken and sweet mashed potatoes.
Some of our favorite Chilean wines sampled included 2011 Cono Sur Organic Chardonnay, 2012 Errazuriz Max Reserva Sauvign Blanc and 2009 Santa Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon (All available at the LCBO).
Overall, the atmosphere was casual yet sophisticated with live music and schmoozing and we look forward to attending next year!!
