The Artbound pARTY 2013 – The pARTY themed 90210

Fashion forward or fashion backward? Back to the 90’s we go to Beverly Hills 90210! Overall shorts, oversized men’s shirts, knee highs and sneakers were dug out from the back of closets in Toronto and worn with pride at the annual fund-raiser Artbound this past Friday Sept. 20 at the Evergreen Brickworks.

There were plenty of alcohol sponsors: Canadian Club, Pinnacle Vodka and Brugal Rum, to name a few. What made the event, however, was the evening’s entertainment hosted by Tanya Kim and Melissa Grelo. The dynamic performance by Naughty by Nature brought back the 90’s hip hop music favourites! The art battle had 6 artists going head to head, making art the focus of this charity whose goal is to build a sustainable village in Rajasthan, India and a boys school in Kenya. The eight hundred party goers proved that art and philanthropy go hand in hand!
