Maestro Fresh Wes, affectionately known as the Godfather of Canadian hip hop, celebrated his 25th anniversary and his new album “Orchestrated Noise” release with a party at The Stirling Room.
Maestro, the first Canadian rapper to have a Top 40 hit with “Let Your Backbone Slide“, also holds the record for the top selling Canadian hip hop album (Symphony in Effect) of all time.
In attendance were CityLine‘s Tracy Moore, CP24‘s Nathan Downer, CBC Radio‘s Jian Ghomeshi, and DJ Starting From Scratch to celebrate Maestro‘s anniversary.
Maestro‘s anticipated new album, ” Orchestrated Noise” has a few guest appearances from artists like Classified, Saukrates, k-os, Saidah Baba Talibah, Chuck D., and Sam Roberts.
