The 2012 Venetian Ball @ Metro Toronto Convention Centre

The Venetian Ball held its 19th annual fundraiser on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Transforming the Metro Toronto Convention Centre into Venice’s Carnevale, the ball featured Venetian cuisine, Venetian masks, carnival gowns, and exquisite auction items.
At the reception, guests were treated with hors d’oeuvres by Toronto’s top restaurants and caterers including Astoria, Toschi, Alexander, Bottega, Wines & Spirits, CC’s Creations, Centro, Noble Estates, Ristorante Boccaccio, Ristorante Sotto Sotto, Seventh Heaven Event Catering, Terrace Banquet Centre, The Country Kitchen, Cocomira, Mokarabia, Niagara Food Specialties, Culinary Studio, Galvanina, Halpern, Italpasta, Lady York, Alfa Cappuccino, Bella Casara Quality Cheese, Caliber Fine and Lavish Cupcakes.
Then they marched into the dining ball room to enjoy dinner along with performances by Toronto’s Simply Grand, host Kevin Frankish ( Breakfast Television ), André-Philippe Gagnon, and surprise guests Frankie Avalon, Lou Christie, and Fabian, the original teen idols.

The Venetian Ball is the crown jewel in Villa Charities Foundation’s annual signature fundraising events. The Venetian Ball has gained renown and become one of the must-attend fundraisers in the city. The unprecedented commitment each chair has given to Villa Charities builds upon the legacy of volunteerism and leadership established 19 years ago when Mr. Elvio Del Zotto first founded The Venetian Ball in 1994 with co-chairs Marlene Del Zotto and Senator Trevor Eyton, hosting the event at Villa Colombo’s Sala Caboto.
