Wolfgang Kals Exclusive VIP/Media Preview at Arta Gallery

Media and VIP’s were introduced to the debut exhibition of the Kennedy family estate of the late Wolfgang Kals at the Arta Gallery on November 6, 2013. Kals, aka Robert Kennedy, the founder of Robert Kennedy Publishing, painted under his father’s name Wolfgang Kals and passed away in April 2012. He was married to fitness icon Tosca Reno. Robert Kennedy’s daughter Chelsea as well as his wife served as curators of the exhibit. Three Olives Vodka, 1880 Tequila and Food Dudes were sponsors of the media reception.

Two artists who Kals admired – Pablo Picasso and Oskar Kokoschka, are clearly seen as the inspiration for the paintings, both in the style and colours of the works. Famous personalities such as Marilyn Monroe, Pamela Anderson, Heath Ledger (as the Joker), Cary Grant and Grace Kelly are evident in the imagery. His experimental approach to painting and exploration of the abstracted form show the vitality of the man.
