FFWD Advertising and Marketing Week 2014 held its fifth annual Ad Ball at Uniun nightclub and it was quite the memorable evening. This year’s theme was “Galaxy” and it definitely was out of this world. Quite a few guests were dressed in space age apparel. Black and gold body painted dancers kept the dance floor moving throughout the evening.
The highlight of the night was the Got Style menswear fashion show which had its own twist. Advertising execs were the male models and they happily strutted their stuff to the cheers of the audience. The MC for the evening was Noteable.ca’s Julian Brass who kept the evening entertained. Sponsors American Express, Soho Metropolitan Hotel, and Samsung Canada provided fabulous giveaways including hotel stays and a Galaxy Note 3.
Oliver and Bonacini, no doubt one of the best caterers in Toronto, provided some delicious fare. Chicken tacos featuring Piri chicken, sexy fries with parmesan truffle seasoning, root vegetable spring rolls in rice paper, mini chicken quesadillas, and mascarpone cheese crêpe with bacon were passed around throughout the evening. For dessert, lemon eclairs and hazelnut chocolate squares satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth.
Kijiji held a photo booth for guests to dress up in the galaxy theme. Thank goodness for the Samsung Chill Lounge, where people could rest and relax after all the partying.
