RAW architecture held their annual design event at a construction site at Queens Quay E. and Jarvis and this year’s theme, “RAW Canvas” was all about art.

Toronto artists such as Courtney Thompson, Robert Bentley, Corrinna Okura, and Buck Teeth Girls Club (Andrea Manica & Melissa Luk) took over the industrial warehouse with their own take on city life.

Guests were encouraged to wear white plastic suits and join in the fun of painting and creating, leaving their own mark. The warehouse walls and floors were covered with graffiti, murals, 3D holo waves, wall projections, puzzles and even hopscotch.

The highlight of the event was the 2000 sq ft. cityscape canvas, suspended from the construction rig.

There was plenty of food including duck heads, tilapia, sliders, ceviche, and macarons (hanging on the racks of the warehouse).

Double Trouble Brewing offered samples of their Prison Break, Hops & Robbers and Kickin’ Ginger Red beers. 13th Street Winery served their Pink Palette, White Palette and Burger Blend of wines. Victoria Gin let guests paint their own gin bottles. Trail Estate Wines and Jägermeister were also available for guests.

It was one fabulous night.
