A cavalcade of masqueraders marched their way to the Liberty Grand in striking costumes for the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Gala Toronto 2013 in honor of the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival’s 46th year.Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Gala 2013 Toronto
At the door, guests were greeted by the Junior Carnival King and Queen before ushered to the courtyard where they enjoyed Caribbean culinary hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails prepared with El Dorado rum. After the reception, guests proceeded to the Governor’s Ballroom to enjoy a sit-down dinner followed by an after party with upbeat Calypso/Soca performances. Fundraising activities such as silent auction and swag bags sales were also available throughout the night with proceeds benefiting The Caribbean Children Foundation (TCCF).
Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto is an exciting three-week carnival celebrating “all things Caribbean”, including Caribbean music, cuisine, and arts. It is the largest cultural festival of its kind in North America, attracting attendees from the States and overseas.
The Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto 2013 season is extended to a six-week event with a kaleidoscope of music, performances, costumes, and mouth watering feasts featuring Caribbean cuisine and delicacies.
