On a sunny afternoon, actress Amanda Brugel along with her Brugs Army team invited crews and fans of Seed, Orphan Black, Hannibal, Lost Girl, Degrassi and other popular TV shows to all come together to “Mingle for a Mission”. Limited guest list allowed attendees to raise a glass to their favourite stars, collect autographs, and nibble on some signature Jack Astor Appetizers, all the while supporting the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
Over 20 celebrity guests were in attendance including Adam Korson (Harry Dacosta in Seed), Inga Cadranel (Aife or Saskia in Lost Girl and Detective Angela Deangelis in Orphan Black), Raymond Ablack (Sav Bhandari in Degrassi), and Naomi Snieckus (Bobbi in Mr. D), just to name a few. They laughed, they drank, and they shared some of their most interesting behind-the-scene stories with us.
The first fundraising event successfully raised over 21K for the Bloorview Children’s Hospital and they are looking to host another international event soon.
