Bluebird – A Food & Art Thing @ The Burroughes

On June 2nd, Bluebird held their 3rd annual food & art exhibition at the Burroughes, showcasing the beauty of aesthetic gastronomy. Thanks to the Futurism back in 1909, we started recognizing the importance of aesthetics in food. Futurists believed that people “think, dream and act according to what they eat and drink” and thus advocated “Futurist meals” in the 30’s, where food meets with art. Ever since, dining has been more enjoyable then ever.

We believe that Bluebird not only carries on the spirit by creating this annual event, but also for a greater cause! The primary purpose for this event is to raise food for the Daily Bread Food Bank. The admission is to donate two or more  non-perishable food items, or just simply $5 in cash to feed the hunger. The event featured cash bar, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and Live music entertainment. We knew that our appetites were guaranteed to be whetted as soon as we saw  The Food Dudes on the list for caterers.

The night was enjoyable indeed, we got to see food displaying in different art formats, and we got to help the underprivileged. A big thanks to Bluebird for holding the event, and Evolution Public Relations for making it so successful!
