COC Centre Stage Ensemble Studio Competition 2015 Food Preview at Nota Bene
We are just five days away from Canadian Opera Company (COC)’s largest event of the season, the Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition.
Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition is COC’s annual fundraiser that supports and showcases young Canadian opera talents.
Over 1,000 opera lovers will join Canada’s rising opera stars at the event taking place at The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts for a night of cocktails, opera, and food.
The evening will start with a cocktail reception followed by an opera competition and a lavish dinner designed and sourced exclusively for the event by celebrated chef David Lee of Nota Bene.
On Tuesday, FE joined the Canadian Opera Company’s General Director Alexander Neef, Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition’s 2015 host and previous winners tenor Charles Sy and soprano Karine Boucher, at Nota Bene to preview and taste some of the scrumptious canapés that Chef David Lee will be serving at Centre Stage’s reception.
Expect some deep-fried crunchy oysters, Asian-style steak tartare, vegetarian avocado rolls, grilled cheese topped with smoked ketchup, crab croquettes, and arancini made with porcini risotto.
Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition takes place on November 3, 2015, at The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $100 for the cocktail reception and opera competition, $1,500 and up for the on-stage dinner. Special Opera Under 30 tickets sponsored by TD Bank Group are also available for patrons between 16 and 29 years old.
