On June 26, 2012 we were invited to join Cult British eyewear brand Cutler and Gross‘ launch party of THE CADORE STORY, a collection of photographs by Stephanie Rushton. We got a preview of both their Fall/Winter 2012 Collection & The Cadore Story Photo Exhibition. The event was held with Steve Teeple Architects to present their newest project Picasso on Richmond– An architectural work of art in Toronto’s Entertainment District.
The party featured delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine tasting and cocktails. We had fun trying on different frames at the Cutler and Gross‘ photobooth.
More about Cutler and Gross…
The exhibition celebrates over 40 years of handcrafted production in Cutler and Gross‘ own family-run factory in the Cadore region of Northern Italy, and unveils the passion of the factory’s workers, revealing their personal narratives and unseen faces. Each frame of a Cutler and Gross‘ “Handmade by C&G Italy” frametakes four weeks to hand craft and goes through 37 rigorous processes, manufactured by the finest craftsmen who combine traditional production techniques and beautiful material. Photographer Stephanie Rushton has more than 25 years of experience as a studio and fashion photographer, working under David Bailey for nine years, and is known for photographing people in their environment and the environments that they create around themselves. The collection will be showcased in the Cutler and Gross Toronto store during the month of July.
