從中國大陸四川爆紅到台灣至全世界的海底撈,以四川風味麻辣燙火鍋湯底、浮誇的桌邊服務和現場拉麵表演為該店招牌,讓殘編敬佩的是,當新型冠狀病毒疫情橫掃KO全世界各界生意,尤其是餐飲業,海底撈仍屹立不搖,更引入新科技的自動配菜系統、送餐機器人、機械手臂和智慧化系統,強化店內用餐安全。防疫期間,在殘編還沒有榮幸親自造訪海底撈實體店家前,竟能有幸開箱試吃該品牌出的麻辣魚皮袋裝零食。今天殘編就要開箱吃吃看打著海底撈鼎鼎大名的名聲的炸魚皮到底有多厲害呢?

Haidilao, world-renowned hot pot enterprise, which is widespread through its sichuan-style spicy soup bases and extravagant over-the-top services and in house performances, gone IPO and has opened over 1500 locations across the world. While most businesses across all industries are shutting down due to the COVID pandemic, especially the restaurateur industry. While I’m still practicing social distancing, I have the honour to unbox Haidilao‘s snack, its own branded spicy fish skin chips. Let’s give it a try!
海底撈麻辣魚皮袋上的成分標示中說明它一百克中有五百六十五點五大卡,比一般洋芋片稍微高一咪咪,但還好一袋產品規格也只有五十克,所以不怕吃過量。稍嫌可惜的是,海底撈的麻辣魚皮即便產地在台灣,成分卻並不簡單,有不少食品添加物。雖然其中的添加物大致都是被美國FDA鑑定為可安全食用的,但還是有包含味精主要的成份,所以對味精過敏的吃貨們還是要三思喔!

The nutrition label shows that it has 565.5 kilocalories (Kcal) per 100 grams, which is slightly higher than average potato chips, but hey, I’m not complaining. A bag is only 50 grams so you won’t have to worry about over-eatinng. However, there’s a whole list of additives in the ingredients list on the bag. While most of the additives are FDA approved, they do include some main components in MSG, so if you’re allergic to MSG, I’d give it a second thought.
海底撈麻辣魚皮包裝袋子是撕開後可以重新密封的那種,所以不怕受台灣天氣的影響、潮掉、軟掉不脆。袋子一撕開,濃郁豐富的香料味便衝鼻而來,外觀金黃的海底撈麻辣魚皮是由嚴選鯰魚皮製成,應該是拜食品添加物中的膨脹劑之賜,每一塊都很蓬鬆輕盈有厚度。一口咬下的瞬間,「咖呲」清脆的聲響,令人好滿足。在嘴裡口爆的先是多重口感的香料味伴隨著來自海洋的海鮮鮮美味於舌中緩緩蔓延,等香味緩緩散去後,就是海底撈的重頭戲:他們招牌的「麻辣湯底」的「麻辣」底蘊直衝味蕾、毫無預警、令人震驚。整體吃下,口感香酥爽脆、涮嘴不油膩,滋味麻辣辛香,一口就讓人胃口大開,一口緊接著一口,停不下來~直呼過癮!

The packaging of Haidilao’s bagged spicy fish skin is the kind that can be resealed after torn open, so it is safe to store at home even under the shytty and humid weather in Taiwan, no worries for them to go damp soggy. I tear the bag open, on first appearance, each piece of fish skin is fried to golden, crispy, I assume those leavening agents in its list of food addditives are the ones giving it thickness, fluffiness while letting each piece remain light. Rich notes of spices of all kinds then fills my nose. Haidilao’s spicy fish skin is made from carefully selected catfish skin. The moment I tak a bite, the crunchy and crisp sounds that comes with each bite is very satisfying.
The first thing that bursts in the mouth is the multi-flavoured spices with a hint of sweetness from the fresh seafood directly from the ocean. Once the aromas slowly spread through my mouth and absorbs in my tongue, the main event – Haidilao’s signature spicy soup base, the spiciness kicks me hard in the taste buds, catching me off guard. Overall, the taste is crispy, non-greasy, spicy and filled with layers of flavours. It’s very appetizing, I can’t help but demolishing one bite after another until it’s all gone.
