Piper & Skye is a Toronto line of luxury leather handbags, designed by Joanne McDonald. Their philosophy is that it’s important to be kind to oneself and others. Each bag is made from a blend of fish skins which makes for soft leathers and suedes. The fish leather is a by-product of the food industry, and the leathers are tanned using minimal chemicals. Overall, the result is a bag that is environmentally friendly. Their styles include totes, crossbody, clutch, and weekender. Each bag is named after a Scottish town, which pays tribute to Joanne McDonald’s Scottish roots. And of course, the name Piper & Skye was inspired by bagpipes and the Isle of Skye.
