Watch Scova telling us about Directing and Producing as a woman:
On Sunday, June 24 , we had the chance to screen the premiere of Union Square, which closed the 10th edition FeFF at the Carlton Cinema. It is a very moving story of an unexpected reunion between two estranged sisters, one of whom is on the verge of getting married, the other on the verge of a nervous breakdown. The film stars Mira Sorvino as Lucy, a hard-drinking party-girl from the Bronx who takes a trip into Manhattan to meet with her married lover, and ends up visiting her sister Jenny (Tammy Blanchard) who has cleaned up her life and is engaged to a man running a health-food business. A beautiful, heart-wrenching, and funny story about family, truth and the reconciliation with ones past. Other notable cast members include Patti Lupone, Mike Doyle, Michael Rispoli and Daphne Rubin-Vega. The film will be in the theatres on July 13.
